the simplest

with one comment

sometimes i think that love is about bringing someone a cold glass of water, slaking thirst and discomfort, and knowing that this is all the joy that can be brought to bear in a single moment.

whirling

without comments

New York to North Carolina and Tennessee and back again with two days to play catch up at home before heading off to Rhode Island on four wheels that touched a little bit of Connecticut and Massachusetts on the way.  Back again home for a few hours and some tofu watercress soup before making my way to Hoboken, New Jersey for a Polvo concert, which seemed to be populated by so very many exported fans from the south lands state I just left.  The travel has caught up with me and although I loved the whirlwind, I was completely giddy to be whirling around at home tonight, my skates on my feet making loops around the living room after a year spent in shoes without wheels.  Now, dreaming of waking up in my joyful life and cozy apartment.  And maybe doing some laundry, too.

Oh, there is work to do!

And did I mention that there was a brass band wedding march over the weekend?

here’s a photostream of some adventures along with some pondering on my experience in the southlands of North Carolina and Tennessee to follow…

one bite, two bites…nineteen bites!

without comments

i felt like The Count this morning in the shower, tallying up all the mosquito bites from our first garden party of the summer. One bite, two bites, three bites…all the way to nineteen itchy splotch spots. AH AH AH AH!
