the transitive property of spring break

“The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.” – Carl Jung

I used to mourn the temporary nature of experience and wish that good things could last forever, but I’ve finally learned to understand the value of inhabiting an experience during its time and the value of reflective distance from it. I am no longer so obsessed with improving my life (certainly, the new affliction of the semi-affluent twentysomething generation) and all I’m interested in is living my life, doing some good while I’m here, and loving the piss out of everyone who means something to me. This is it. I’ve got these days, and weeks, and years, and all this living to do. There are projects to accomplish, adventures to have, big cities to live in, hearts to break, people to break my heart, risks to take, great conversations to have, an ass to shake, kisses to give, tattoos to get, words to write, and big fat feelings.

Dispatch from a Summer Preview with Amazing Ninja Chef Houseguest:

Spring break has tried to kill me, but I’m not going to let it win.

I fell out of a photobooth last night.

The universe is leaving me voicemails, and I have plenty of return phone calls to make. I’ll blog the debrief, just as soon as I stop having so much dang fun.

In the meantime, I love you oodles.

I’m pretty sure life is rad.

Over and out.
